Volunteer Your Time

Volunteers make up the largest percentage of our work force. It is because of our generous volunteers that we are able to direct the capital donations to the most vitally needed areas of our community.

All volunteers are expected to obtain a police record check. There is no charge for our volunteers!!

Volunteer Opportunities

C.A.P.P. Hours

Students can volunteer at The Salvation Army in any of the following areas to gain their 30 required hours

Students are asked to treat the volunteer position as a professional arrangement and are asked to act and dress appropriately

Volunteer hours vary according to current demands

Kettle Workers

Music Assistants

Kettle Bell Ringers

Shifts last a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 8 hours.

Volunteers are prohibited from handling money in any way

Volunteers MUST dress professionally (ie, warm winter clothing outside locations and Professional wear inside locations; including dress pants, and dress shirt.)

Within the Community Music Program there are many different areas to volunteer, be it teaching an instrument, singing with seniors, helping turn pages, creating a music library, or peer support

Volunteers are needed at our once a month coffee house, positions include putting out desserts, setting up chairs, door assistants and much more!
