Advocacy
All too often we are requested to advocate for clients, be they seniors, people with disabilities, single parents or the homeless. We also discuss our view of the overall needs of our clients – the “forgotten” people, when meeting with other community agencies. Our work on the “frontlines” helps us to see what is helpful to people and what is enabling. Voicing our recommendations to other community agencies allows us to be instrumental in affecting positive change in our community. |
