Holiday Food Hampers

For many families living below the poverty level, budgets are stretched so tightly that they can’t afford to make a Holiday dinner or buy presents for their children. The Salvation Army coordinates and delivers hampers to families in need. Hampers usually include food to make a Holiday dinner as well as fresh produce and dairy products.

If it’s a Christmas hamper, it also will include a new present or clothing for each child, a new gift item for the parent, and other much-needed items.

Individuals, families, church groups and businesses alike are amongst those who sponsor hampers annually. Sponsors are asked to make a commitment to sponsor individual hampers, tailored to the particular family’s needs. Recipients’ family names and contact info are not released.
